DFSS 没有唯一标准流程,各家公司发明了一串首字母缩写:通用电气用 DMADV,
有人用 IDOV(Identify–Design–Optimize–Validate),也有人用 CDOC。
它们骨架其实一样:先把客户需求摸清、翻译成设计、再优化到稳健、最后验证达标。
名字不同,思想相同 —— 都是要把质量在图纸阶段就做进去,而不是等产线出货后再救火。
CDOC 的好处是四个动词都直白:概念、设计、优化、能力验证,新人一看就懂。
DFSS does not have one canonical flow — every company minted its own acronym. GE went with DMADV,
others used IDOV (Identify–Design–Optimize–Validate), some use CDOC.
Under the labels the backbone is identical: understand the customer, translate it into a design, optimize for robustness, then verify against spec.
Different names, same idea — design quality in at the drawing-board stage, not after units start shipping.
What CDOC gets right is that all four verbs are plain English: Concept, Design, Optimize, Capability. Newcomers get it on the first read.

2 现实里的 CDOC 路线图 CDOC as a Real-World Roadmap
流程化设计:把模糊的「做个新产品」拆成四个可交付、可评审的阶段,团队不再凭感觉乱撞。
Design as a process: turn the vague "build a new product" into four reviewable phases with concrete deliverables — no more lurching by instinct.
阶段交付物:每阶段都有明确产出(VOC 表、QFD、稳健设计、能力报告),下一阶段才有据可依。
Phase deliverables: every phase produces something concrete (VOC table, QFD, robust design, capability report) so the next phase has solid ground to stand on.
对应 DMADV:C≈Define/Measure,D≈Analyze/Design,O≈Optimize,C≈Verify,换皮不换骨。

越早越省:把决策影响力和返工成本画在同一条时间轴上,逼团队把关键决定提前做对。

CDOC 的价值不在那四个字母,而在它强制你按顺序把对的事做对:
不先听清客户(Concept)就动手设计,必然返工;不优化稳健性(Optimize)就量产,必然在客户手里翻车。
最关键的认知是那条剪刀差 —— 越往后,决策影响力越小、改一处的代价却指数飙升。
所以 DFSS 把火力压在前两阶段:把质量在图纸上就做进去,比在产线上抢救便宜一百倍。
The value of CDOC is not in the four letters — it is that it forces you to do the right things in the right order:
skip Concept and start designing, you will rework; skip Optimize and go to production, the product will break in the customer's hands.
The deepest insight is the scissor curve — the later you go, the smaller your decision leverage and the steeper the cost of one change.
That is why DFSS concentrates fire on the first two phases: designing quality in on paper is a hundred times cheaper than rescuing it on the line.
常见误用
Common Mistakes
跳过 Concept 直接画图。没摸清 VOC 就设计,做出来的往往没人要 —— 概念阶段最便宜也最决定成败。
Skipping Concept and jumping straight to design. Designing without understanding VOC almost always ships something nobody wants — the Concept phase is the cheapest and also the most decisive.
把 Optimize 当成「再调调参数」。优化是用 DOE/Taguchi 做稳健设计,让产品对噪声不敏感,不是事后微调。
Treating Optimize as "tweak a few parameters". Optimize means robust design with DOE / Taguchi — making the product insensitive to noise — not after-the-fact dial twiddling.
