And here's the twist at the end: the moment a constraint is elevated, a new one pops up, so improvement never stops. Goldratt's novel says it plainly: the goal of management was never "keep every machine busy" — it is to make the whole system throw off a little more money toward its goal. That is the period at the end of the TOC chapter — and the starting line of continuous improvement.
常见误用Common Mistakes
把《目标》读成"只要找瓶颈就行"重点是完整五步循环 + 持续改善,找到约束只是第一步,提升后还要回到第一步重来。 Reading The Goal as "just find the bottleneck". The point is the full five-step loop plus continuous improvement — finding the constraint is step one, and after elevating it you must come back to step one again.
以局部效率(每台机器都满负荷)为目标真正的目标是系统赚钱(有效产出↑、库存↓、运营费用↓),非约束满负荷只会堆库存。 Chasing local efficiency — every machine at 100%. The real goal is system-level money (throughput ↑, inventory ↓, operating expense ↓); running non-constraints flat-out only piles up WIP.
觉得这只是工厂的故事,跟我无关约束无处不在 —— 医院、软件、供应链、个人时间管理,凡是系统就有最弱一环。 Dismissing it as "just a factory story, not for me". Constraints are everywhere — hospitals, software, supply chains, even personal time management. Every system has its weakest link.
